Crusades for Christ Tent Ministry was raised up for one primary purpose, the winning of the lost to Jesus Christ. It is a nondenominational ministry that seeks to promote the gospel message of salvation through Christ while involving many churches yet promoting none above another. Our objective is to get people saved and direct them to the local churches for spiritual growth and development.
The concept and operation of this ministry has changed considerably over the past few months under the direction of Pastor Jim Hurst/Event Coordinator who has served as pastor for over twenty years. Being a pastor himself has given him a keen insight into the needs of the local church as well as insight on how to avoid certain areas of ministry that tend to create confusion and division.
Our method of operation is unusual in that we do not arrive in an area with ministry in tow, instead we have chosen (in most cases) to provide the platform for the anointed ministries that already exist within the local churches. Participating ministers who have a heart for the lost assist us in selecting these ministries. We do not, nor do we permit others to promote their church above another. We seek to assist local congregations in ministering in the spirit of unity with the focus on winning the lost. Those who are saved as a result of our united efforts will be encouraged to attend the church of their choosing from among participating churches. Upon request we do provide anointed evangelistic ministry!
We also place a heavy emphasis on the involvement of our youth through preaching, music, drama, skits, dance, etc. While strategizing and planning is essential we attempt to be very careful that we do not plan the Holy Spirit right out of the tent. We attempt to be led by the Spirit in every Crusade.
This ministry was raised up to serve! It is funded by a Christian businessman who has a great burden for the lost. While we do receive no-pressure love offerings to offset the expense there is no charge whatsoever for what we do. However, it does take a number of people to make a Crusade a success. We need area churches to unite and work with us to win the lost. As you can imagine it takes a lot of prayer and hard work to get this done but the rewards will far outweigh the effort. People who would never set foot in a church will attend a tent revival, and many of these same people will be saved as a result. Our tent is 100’200’ and seats 2500 people and is fully self contained arriving in a beautiful 18 wheeler especially designed for this ministry. Call us, we are here to serve!
